Ihlara Valley
The deepest gorge in Anatolia,
this valley is excellent for more ambitious hikers or those with a little more
time. Dozens of cave dwellings, churches, and monasteries are cut into its
steep cliff walls, with a trail that extends up to 14km. Beautiful nature,
wildlife, a river, and a number of groves and villages make this an excellent
all-day hike. There are four entrances to the trail, including Ihlara village,
the 4thkm, Belisirma village, and Selime monastery.
