Once in a lifetime, you should do a hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia! You can experience the incredible landscape of Cappadocia from the air. You will be picked up from our hotel about 40 minutes before sunrise and served a light breakfast before going to the balloon launch site. Climb aboard for 45-65 minutes of delight, drifting gently through the valleys and soaring high for an exceptional view. At the end of all flights, there will be a champagne celebration, and all passengers will receive a certificate for completing a balloon flight. Lastly, you will be returned to your hotel around 8-9 a.m., which will give you time to join daily tours or do other activities during the day.
Ballooning is the most popular activity in the Cappadocia region. There are many companies offering flights and a range of prices. Here’s some information for you to consider when making your choice. The price of your flight depends on the company. We do not recommend the cheapest companies, but you also do not need to pay for the most expensive ones to enjoy this experience. The number of passengers in one basket ranges from 16 up to 24 people. As prices get lower, the number of passengers per basket will get higher. Although the basket size is important for a pleasant flight, it is not the only aspect that affects the pricing. The pilot also affects the flight cost, as better and more experienced pilots are paid more compared to new and inexperienced pilots. An experienced pilot can make the most of the day’s unique weather conditions to create a spectacular flight. So your whole experience is really determined by a combination of all these factors. We recommend flights with companies who take all these factors seriously and professionally.
The Göreme Panoramic Point sets the scene for our day with its magnificent views over Göreme Valley. Then, it’s on to an ancient Underground City, excavated and populated by a myriad of civilisations throughout history, to discover how they managed to live so successfully underground for such extended periods. Followed by Selime Monastery, which is the largest hand-hewn rock structure in all of Cappadocia. Our next stop will be lunch and a pleasant 3 km hike along the stream of the lush, green, 100mt deep gorge that is Ihlara Valley, home to pigeon houses and cave churches with some unusual frescoes. We end our day at the picturesque Pigeon Valley, with a beautiful view of Uçhisar Castle. It’s possible to hike down the valley to Göreme, if you wish.
This tour gives you a first impression of the region: Starting at Uçhisar Castle, the region’s highest and largest freestanding rock formation, our next stop is the Göreme Open Air Museum with its carefully restored cave churches from the 9th – 12th centuries. After visiting the iconic Love Valley Panorama we’ll explore Paşabağ, known locally as Monks Valley or the Valley of the Fairy Chimneys, which is home to some of the most photographed tuff motifs. After lunch, we’ll view a traditional Pottery Workshop and then head onto Devret Valley to see some of the most unusual of the local rock formations.

The dance-like ritual of Sema was developed by the Dervish order – followers of the 13th century religious leader Mevlana Celalladin-i Rumi. You may have heard of him as Rumi, the poet and philosopher. His philosophy of ‘come as you are’ was attractive to many people searching for true meaning in life. As people began to follow Mevlana they came to love the creator and his creation. This love is expressed in the dance of the Whirling Dervish. The participants turn ‘around their hearts’, from right to left, the Direction of Truth. The ritual takes the participant towards perfection and unity with God. With one hand raised to the Creator, the dancer receives, and with the other hand turned down toward the earth, they pass on the blessing to the Creation. Dervishes have been performing this ritual for close to 800 years. It has since become a cultural symbol of this incredibly diverse land of Turkey. Now you can witness this spiritual dance on your trip.
The Turkish Night show is organized to give you real entertainment and relaxation while experiencing Turkish culture and traditions. Marriage as the union of two people and their families has a rich heritage; the dancers will perform all the traditional marriage customs – meetings, gifts, music and dances. After the “wedding” the entertainment continues with folk dances from different parts of Turkey, and other ares where Turkic peoples live. The highlight of the evening is of course the Belly Dancer! This classic dance style requires incredible fitness, agilitiy and physical control. After her dazzling display she will visit each table to invite one guest to join her for a lesson in the basic moves. This is fun for everyone! After that, you will enjoy some other dances and shows like fire dance, Caucasian knife dance and a drum show. During the night the waiters will serve unlimited soft and alcoholic drinks with appetizers as you relax in an underground cave restaurant.
